My Ninja Logo Design
Spring 2018
A freelance logo design created for a wellness app that is currently in the works (details are sparse until the app creators launch in the app store). After researching their company name and coming up with some sketch ideas, I chose the three sketches below to expand upon. The client preferred the sketch on the far left, thus I continued to develop it by bringing it into Adobe Illustrator as a vector. The design continued to develop until we settled on the final design shown at the bottom of this page. I have tried to include the steps in my process as an example.
After a few rounds of sketches and basic vector mockups, we decided on a distinctive ninja mark that was fun, had character, and spunky (shown to the right). We toyed with this mark a bit and decided on refining its rough edges and opted for a more symmetrical style.
Next, I created various iterations of the same logo mark, changing variables such as the head shape, the look of the bandana and its knot, and the primary brand color .
